Why HomePresence Exists

After returning from an extended period away, I experienced firsthand how quickly a property can change without regular presence.

Ventilation routines had stopped. Humidity levels had risen quietly. The dehumidifier reservoir had filled and shut off. The air felt stagnant, and early signs of mold had begun to form — not because of a sudden failure, but because of gradual absence.

This experience made something clear: most property deterioration does not happen abruptly. It develops slowly, through small, unnoticed changes that accumulate over time.

And yet, being able to leave your home whenever you choose should be simple — it is part of freedom. There should not be lingering questions. Who looks after the house? Who feeds the cat? Who ensures everything remains as it should be while you are away?

Absence is not always planned months in advance. Sometimes it is a short holiday, an unexpected business trip, or a last-minute decision to leave tomorrow.

What properties require is not constant management, but continuity — someone reliable, attentive, and already in place. HomePresence was created to provide exactly that: structured, discreet presence that ensures properties remain stable, cared for, and quietly maintained over time — whether absence is planned well ahead or decided at short notice.

Behind HomePresence

Having lived across three continents, I understand how natural it becomes to move between places — and how quickly absence becomes part of life. I created HomePresence for people who travel frequently or live between countries. Leaving should feel simple, not logistical.

My background in finance shaped how I work: clear structure, simple reporting, and a long-term view. In practice, that means consistent check-ins, attention to small changes, and communication that stays calm and direct.

This service operates close to people’s private space, so discretion matters. Communication is always direct and personal — no intermediaries, no rotating staff.

Many homes also include pets. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, and being calm, attentive, and respectful with them is simply part of responsible presence.

Why not use a traditional property management company?

Traditional management companies often operate with broader structures and rotating personnel.

HomePresence is intentionally smaller and continuity-focused — offering direct communication, personal accountability, and familiarity over time.

The service prioritizes presence and oversight rather than administrative scale.

Can pets be included?

Yes. Many homes include pets.

Basic pet-related presence can include refilling food and water, checking general well-being, or opening access to garden areas where appropriate.

Every arrangement is discussed in advance to ensure clarity and comfort.

Is there a minimum commitment?

HomePresence is structured around continuity.

Most plans require an initial three-month commitment to ensure stability and familiarity.

After that period, cancellation is possible with notice.

How quickly do you respond?

Active clients receive a response within 24 hours at the latest.

For new inquiries, replies are typically sent within 48 hours.

Messages sent late at night may be answered the following day.
